MEDFORD PARKING ENFORCEMENT
IMPORTANT – READ CAREFULLY
CITATION PROCESS
The operator, owner or lessee of the cited vehicle must, within ten (10) calendar days of the date this violation is issued, take action with one of the following options:
Option 1: Pay the Fine
(NOTE: Choosing this option waives your right to a personal appearance before the court.)
· Make the citation payment payable to Medford Parking Enforcement, and:
· Mail the citation and citation payment to:
DOWNTOWN PARKING ENFORCEMENT CONTRACTOR
or
Drop the citation and citation payment into the parking citation drop box located at:
Downtown Parking Structure, 300 E. 6th St., Medford, ORNW corner of W. 6th Street & N. Riverside Avenue
1st floor, 6th St. entrance, white drop box marked “PARKING CITATION DROP BOX”
The citation payment will be applied toward the fine.
Option 2: Written Appearance
(NOTE: Choosing this option waives your right to a personal appearance before the court.)
Send the citation and citation payment, made payable to Medford Parking Enforcement, with your letter explaining why you are contesting the citation. Include in the letter the citation number, license plate number, and your name, address and phone number. The letter must be postmarked within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the citation. Mail to: DOWNTOWN PARKING ENFORCEMENT CONTRACTOR
Do not go to the Medford Municipal Court or Medford Urban Renewal Agency in person. City and Agency personnel are unable to assist with parking citations.
· If the charge is dismissed, the payment will be refunded.
· If the charge is not dismissed, you will be notified and the payment will be applied toward the fine.
· If the fine is reduced, a refund will be mailed to you.
Option 3: Written Request for Trial
Send the citation and citation payment, made payable to Medford Parking Enforcement, with your letter requesting a trial. Include in the letter the citation number, license plate number, and your name, address and phone number. The letter must be postmarked within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the citation. Mail to: DOWNTOWN PARKING ENFORCEMENT CONTRACTOR
You will be mailed a letter indicating your trial date and time.
WARNING: City of Medford Code 6.950 provides for the immobilization and/or impounding of vehicles with unpaid violations, fees, and/or penalties.
